PDU registration for PMP exam

If I have two sets of PDUs, one is 35 PDU from a PMP course and another 60 PDUs from a different course, do I have to declare both during my PMP exam application? Can I declare only the 35 PDUs and use the other 60 PDUs for maintaining my PMP certificate after I pass the exam? Thanks in advance.

1. For PMP exam eligibility just 35 hours of PDU is sufficient. For better transparency (if at all caught in audit) use the 35 PDU instead, as this is meant for PMP exam eligibility.
2. Maintaining the PMP certificate after you pass the exam is defined by PMI under Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) Program. The 60 PDU has to be within the CCR cycle of three years. E.g. if you pass the PMP exam on 10-Sep-2013, the 60 PDU should be between 11-Sep-2013 to 10-Sep-2016.

Thank you for the explanation, very well said.

Would there be a possibility of a problem if I use all 95 PDUs during registration? Again, thanks for the help.

Showing anything extra does affect eligibility, this is your choice and go for it if this makes you more happy. PMI would just look for 35 PDU, so whether you show 35, 50, 90 will not make strong case for them from eligibility perspective.

Keep in mind there is 10% chance that you would be caught in audit, if caught in audit, even the extra efforts you have shown will be an audit candidate i.e. more paper work and more verification will be required by you.

60 PDUs earned by you till date is not going to help in any manner maintaining PDUs for PMP Credentials as you have not yet attained PMP Credential.

As reiterated by Saket, PDU earned are valid which are obtained only after the date of attaining PMP credential
