PDU Reporting Dilemma !!!
I recently purchased the PMI-ACP podcast, as I am looking into getting PMI-ACP certified. I am also a PMP that needs only 4 more PDU's to complete my 3 yr re-certification.
If I complete the PMI- ACP podcast and report all 37 PDU's. Only 24 = 4 (that I need) + 20 (max which can be carried over) PDU's will be counted for my PMP. I loose 17 PDU's since they are in excess.
Can I report just the 24 out of 37 PDU's now and the rest in April 2014 when my PMP renews. I hate wasting PDU's, especially since I am investing the hours.
Any other suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

Copy paste from my previous post:
Maintaining the PMP certificate after you pass the exam is defined by PMI under Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) Program. The 60 PDU has to be within the CCR cycle of three years. E.g. if you pass/renew the PMP certification on 10-Sep-2013, the 60 PDU should be between 11-Sep-2013 to 10-Sep-2016.
You cannot show any PDU that is from past and also in future (if at all you can) when considering the CCR cycle for PMP.
