Exam date on 19th Nov
Hi Everyone,
I have my exam on 19th Nov.My expiry is on 23rd Nov. So, I guess, it is my first and best chance. I had initally planned to take in on 23rd Sept, but reealizing I was not prepared I postponed my date. I haven't been able to take the exam for a variety of reasons, job change, shifting cities, my own fear of failure etc...
I dont know how ready I am for the exam and I have 1 month and starting to feel overwhelmed.
My preparations so far
I attended a PMP prep course last year in July end. Post the prep course till now I have read Headfirst twice, Rita (7th edition) once end to end including the end of chapter exams. So, most of my preparation has been around 4th edition of PMBOK. Yes..yes.. its changed to 5th edition, but the difference is very minimal seeing that only 5 processes have been added.
I gave one practice test on examcentral and scored around 76%. I plan to give more pratice tests and read Rita at least once more. From the test, I gathered, I am still a bit weak on ITTOs, which is where I need to brush up
Help/Advice needed--
Am I on the right track with 1 month left or do i need to pull up my socks more and where do I need to be? Should I attend a PMP prep course again to get a refresher and connect with other people preparing? I am feeling nervous and overwhelmed....
Thanks in advance..
Srikar
PS :I am just feeling scared and nervous...

Try another mock test
Examcentral is risky since I found 20% questions coming from pmbok4. terms used , as well as processes, in pmbok 4 differ when you compare with pmbok5.
I scored 73%, but then i completed entire exam in 2 hours, Questions were easy here. I started this exam when I woke up in half sleep.

Exam
My exam is scheduled on 11th Nov. So I have whole of Diwali vacation, in all 10 days holidays before exam.
I gave a mock on Pmstudy and i scored 78%, (free) and techfaq360 (76%). Still its like if I dont revise for a day, I may tend to forget. I will post my LL after the exam.
I already have 26 certifications mostly my work related and easy to pass. This has really taken a toil.
What i observed is if I get first 4-5 easy questions and if I go with the flow, i can complete the exam within 2 and half hours. So I am creating lot of strategies, ifs and buts, mostly will be concentrating on mocks and ITTOs for the next 10 days.
I have also purchased pmzilla questions and will start tomorrow.
Any advice admin?

pmp4sure
I just have a concern here. I am not a native US speaker but my english is good enough. I found the questions in pmp4sure, doesnt have any grammatical sense. I scored 66% but most of the questions I was not able to follow. even some people had this concern when they posted their LL.
As far as I understand, questions are framed in simple english as it is an international exam. pmp4sure seriously need to understand this. People say, exam questions are similar to pmstudy. I too found it very useful, specially their explaination for wrong answers.

All the best
Hi,
Guess tomorrow is your exam. Waiting for your LL. Evn I felt the same about PMPforsure. The grammar is very bad and it is difficult to understand the questions.
Also,
I got around 63% in the second paid exam today. Started mock exams today. Planning to give one more tonight.

if you are doing well in
if you are doing well in your mock exams, that is a good indicator of well prepared you are. Scoring around 70-75% is good and it will give you confidence to take final exam

OK thanks. But some mock
OK thanks. But some mock exams which are easy, you might score 75 to 80, but on tough ones you might get around 60 to maybe 70? So which scores do you trust?
Thanks,
Srikar
