Webinar Question
Submitted by Anudhpmp on Thu, 08/01/2013 - 19:42
I have a question. I got PMP certified recently. Even before preparing for PMP, I used to attend online webinars twice or thrice a month. If the topic is good and interesting I will try to attend those. I remember that they used to say these webinars are eligible for PDU's. So If I attend 60 1-hour webinars in 3 years, Is that enough for renewing the PMP credential? Or do I need to submit PDU's from different activities? Thanks a lot for response.

Yes, these webinars give you
Yes, these webinars give you a code which you can use to claim your PDUs, you can only claim 30 PDUS in SDL, but if these webinars give you code to claim in other categories then you are done with 60 PDUs.

Thanks Admin. I will check
Thanks Admin. I will check with them on this one. I initially thought that webinars will fall under Category B (Continuing Education). But based on your response I understand that it is not the case. Thanks!

Webinars attended by you post
Webinars attended by you post certification of PMP are only eligible for reporting PDUs.

There are lot of webinars
There are lot of webinars conducted PMI Communities of Practice. These webinars are available OnDemand as well after the completion. PDUs can be claimed under Category A for watching these webinars. By definition there is no max limit to claim category A PDUs.
Thanks,
Subba.

yes you can claim it... many
yes you can claim it... many of my customers have been doing for while... and their is no upper limit for Category A and Category B PDUs.... so you can claim as many and get credit.
My tip for PDU
Category C: 30 hours.... read a book , watch videos and claim it
Category F : 15 PDUs , working as PM for 3 years
After doing this... you only need 15 from Category A or B, what i like about Category C and F is... they are in your control.... you do not have to depend on anything for it.
For Category C : one can also watch our videos www.youtube.com/user/izenbridge
and we do conduct webinars ... schedule can be found at www.izenbridge.com
