Just passed the PMP right now

Hello,

I have just passed the PMP test right now.

Thanks

congratulations for passing your PMP exam, kindly share your LL if you don't mind.

Regards

Thank you,

I advise you to read, focus, hard study the PMBOK guide very well! I have never even skimmed Rita, etc.

PMP needs deep understanding and not about skimming texts. Practice as many questions as you can. Study the answers and understand them correctly. Practice on daily basis. The following are good examples of questions:

examcentral.net for easy questions

certgear.com for tough questions

fastrack is good but certgear is better.

ricardo-vargas.com provides a very very good summary of TT, inputs and outputs.

understand the processes and link them with integration. Revisit your areas of weakness.

read the code of ethics.

Where are you from? Can I have your contact number?

By the way I am from Bangalore and I failed the exam in March.

I am retaking the exam on 3rd July. would like to talk to you on phone for a minute if you are Ok.

Thanks,

Manikya

Please feel free to ask me here so that everyone benefits from the discussion. Expect advices on which references to study, how many months and hours to study, but questions about the exam, sorry I can't help you.

Congratulation !!

is a secondary book apart from PMBoK is absolute necessary to read in order to pass ?

Thank you, anything that is extra is not bad idea, but make sure you correctly understand the processes and link them together. Understand the equations and their definitions and solve some examples.

Skimming twice or more is a bad idea. I cant believe anyone says read the book 2 times and skimmed 3rd will pass!!

So how many times is required to read the book. Cause I don't understand what you are saying?

I meant to say, read the book carefully till you really can memorize any point at anytime without thinking. This is by testing yourself using the exam simulators. Test yourself quite hard and exceed 2000 questions before you enter the exam.

Don't study just to pass the exam. My advise is study to understand the PMP and think the same way, then the exam won't difficult as you thought.
