Inputs ,Outputs, Tools and Techniques

Hi All,
I am curious to know how many questions roughly might come in exam relating to Inputs and Outputs. Tools and Techniques. I understand we have to understand the process, but is it suggested to memorize the same or is it suggested to memorize inputs/outputs leaving aside Tools and Techniques. Any ideas and information will be of great help.
Thanks.

ITTOs
I have spoken to few people, who cleared PMP.
They told me 10-12 direct questions.
But all of them told that the ITTO knowledge is very much required in solving situational questions too.
Everyone said memorization is not good.

You should try to understand
You should try to understand the concepts rather than memorize the ITTO. When giving mock tests if you answer some ITTO incorrectly make note off those and similar such ITTO.
I had memorized few of them just to get confidence but for majority it was based on understanding the concepts.
