question on - Rewards
You are designing rewards and recognition syste, for your project. You want to promote behavior where people work as a team and contribute to success of the project. Which of the following will you avoid.
A. team member of the month award should be avoided
b. give rewards for routine activitieds like submitting status reports on time
c. design some awards where individual performance is recognizied and rewarded
d. avoid punishment when unrealistic project objectives are not met.
Answer is C..
Explanation : Since you want to promote team culture, individual performance award should be avoided.
So if we dont want to focus on individual why A is fine ?
Also Why D. is fine, it's sounds totally wrong ?
thanks

Correct answer is C-design
Correct answer is C-design some awards where individual performance is recognized and rewarded and the explanation given is reasonably correct
Option A is correct as recognisng only one team member per month brings in lot of jeaously, lack of taking up resonspibility, lack of motivation etc can hamper team work Option D is wrong because you cannot punish anyone as your project is unrealistic and there is no chance of meeting the objective anyway.

I still think answer is
I still think answer is option C
Option D is misleading here. Reason - As a PM you are accountable for developing a project that is reaslistic and achievable. You cannot punish someone else just beacuse you did not do your job well and ended up making a unrealistic project.
When you answer try to rule out the options that are irrelevent to the question.

my views : C
The question states that " you want to promote behavior where people work as a team and contribute to success of the project."
D is a distractor.....becuz if unrealistic objectives are not met (unrealistic setting as a PM is my fault) if team does not meet I will anyways not punish them....also D is a distractor and not relating to qts main objective of----- you want to promote behavior where people work as a team and contribute to success of the project."
so to answer "you want to promote behavior where people work as a team and contribute to success of the project."
I will ofcourse choose C to avoid "design some awards where individual performance is recognizied and rewarded" as this is concentrating on individual perf.....but i want to promote team building so i will do other 2 option s A AND B and avoid C.
Hope this helps.

also
also D is just a statement its not an action for above qts.- also by doing D like not punishing ia m not promoting any team building or making them contribute to success.
