question on diagramming with condition
I have two questions that looks similar, with different answer.
I would like to have your comment on that
thanks guys
Pmstudy E4 Q115
During the Sequence Activities process, you realize that several tasks have conditional branches ( ex : a desigh update is only needed if the inspection detects errors). For this purpose, you may use Precedence diagramming method (PDM). Which is also referred as:
1) GERT
2) AOA
3) AON
4) Conditional diagramming methods
Pmzilla Question set1 q4
You are in the process of designing a diagram for your testing process. You are required to graphically show the testing activity. You have branches in your testing, which depend upon decision from previous activity. If previous activity passes you proceed, but if the activity fails then you are required to address the failure by making correction and then proceed with testing which diagraming technique will be used to accomplish this ?
1) Arrow diagramming method
2) Network diagramming method
3) Precedence diagramming method
4) Conditional diagramming method

Thanks for sharing the question . Valid argument
Even though it's a valid argument . Not sure conditional diagramming is mentioned in pmbok 5 .curipus to know why it is not mentioned or why that is not an option

purpose of conditional diagramming
Not sure which book but looks like i read this some where in Rita
conditional Diagramming Methods :
They allow for nonsequential activities such as loops and conditional branches. PDM and ADM do not allow loops or conditional branches. EX: Graphical Evaluation and Review Technique (GERT) and System Dynamics models

For exam, stick to what is
For exam, stick to what is given in PMBOK5. So for this question, conditioning diagramming cannot be the correct answer
Conditoning diagramming was used as one of the tools for sequencing activitites in PMBOK4.
Hope this answers your question!

@Dipti : Also Rita says if GERT appears as one of the options that is mostly be incorrect and you can rule out

4th answer
i still go for the 4th answer becasue -
the qts clearly specifies you have braching and loops and all based on condiitons"You have branches in your testing, which depend upon decision from previous activity. If previous activity passes you proceed, but if the activity fails"...
GERT allows for condiitonal branching n loops
If going by RITA, she has mentioned when these threee techniques are mentioned it could be incorrect ans...but if we read the qts and apply CDM is the right ansswer.

also
Note -
the example i have specified in the end of sentence is for GERT-> condiitonal.
