PMP Experience Requirement

Hi, 

I am a Project Management Professional preparing for PMP certification.

I have worked as a project Manager from Mar - 2010 to June - 2013 accumalating the required 5000Hrs of PM experience. 

I was on medical/maternity from July 2013 - Present. 

Will this be a problem ? Will this lead my application to an audit ?

Has anyone been in this situation in the past. 

Appreciate the response.

Hi Kanica,

I don't think that would be problem, you can chose to show your PM experience in the last 8 years, not necessarily the most recent one.

You may or may not be selected for an audit which is random but not for the above reason.

As said, you qualify for it since you need to have 3 years of Project Management experience in last 8 years (this date start from your application date ). So if you are not working better you do this fast since the time is counted from the date you apply.

Well, Your's is not at all a problem. Never think it as a problem rather than search for the better Solution. The best thing I say is to go through any Institute who will provide the entire guidelines about Project Management Professional training and Certification. One of my friend also had a similar situation like you he was staying in Kuwait, but previously he was in India due to specific reasons he went to Kuwait then he opted for certain institutes in Kuwait who provide PMP Certification in Kuwait Luckily he found them got all his queries Cleared and also he is now a PMP Certified Professional
