I've applied for PMP exam and got selected for the Audit. I've given my last 3rd company manager's name for one project. But when I ask him to sign in the audit application, he says I worked there long before. So, he can't give anything written. He says he can recommend me if someone calls from PMI.

My problem is, If I fail the audit because of him, I have to wait for 1 year. But I'm ready to take the exam. I've finished my preparation. I'm just waiting to get through this audit. 

Is there any way to solve this problem? Can I give someone's name now instead of the guy I mentioned above? Will PMI accept this change? Please help me.
