My Experience with PMP Exam - After 31-Aug

Hi Friend – I did give the PMP last week with new pattern. I am not sure why people are so curious to know what exam pattern has changed. Has PMP syllabus changed? The answer is NO, so does it matter if the language in which the question is asked changes?

Honestly, I did not noticed even 1% anything otherwise than what I read using PMP book. I did not even think to pay heavy prices and get poor quality questions from various websites. I do not like wasting time in reading individual made questions and answers. All I did was, read Rita Mulchay book (6th edition) once and 2 times the PMP 4th edition. Nothing else.

It takes just 10 minutes to understand a 20 lines paragraph but it might take 10 hours to go through permutation and combination of questions that can be made with these 20 lines.

I request you, do not fall in trap of reading question and answers and do not even think and waste time in this direction. Just read the PMP book and confidently go and give exam. You will find nothing has changed.

My exam today (CAPM)

I used to use a Rita's PMP book 6-th edition for exam preparation (that was given in class I have attended). I was going thru tests and was getting pretty decent results. Then the software expired, and I purchased a CAPM test software. The questions were totally different from PMP, and I can't say that they were easier.

Today I failed on the exam. The questions on the exam had nothing in common with the questions in a software. The questions were very long and complicated - compared to the test software. I had to re-read some questions many times before understanding what exactly was the question about.

Any ideas or advices?

Thanks!

Adding to my earlier post:  I have never had a problem with the Integration Management topic and my test results were usually around 90%. Today's exam graded the topic as being "below proficient"... I came home and immediately went thru all the questions of this topic, and got 80%. The same - with some other topics.

For me, Rita's book and test s/w proved to be worthless. Any good ideas?
