Consensus management style

As Project Manager have you worked in an organization that used Management by Consensus as its management style and were you successful in using that method on your projects? If so how did you do it?

Consensus management is not used in corporate environments. its used in specific cases. Usually a project needs a strong project manager who can make decisions which may sometimes be unpopular.

The more the experience of the project manager, the greater the chance of success of the project.

Not all team members may be capable of making good decisions. Consensus does not mean everyone is happy or its unanimous, in a way it can impact the team morale since others may have to agree even if they have a different point of view.
