Mr pmp-2012 – Sorry man! No one was caring for your question. Don’t worry, I will answer something for you.
See, what you are asking is very specific question i.e. it depends upon person to person. You know that Rita is the BEST (majority feedback) reference PMP book, no doubt about that. But at the same time you see various feedbacks like:
1. Some pass PMP with just using Rita
2. Some pass PMP with using Rita and PMBOK
3. Some pass PMP with Rita and other PMP reference book
4. Some Fail PMP who used Rita
5. Some even curse Rita for its writing
Having seen so different feedbacks from various people we cannot come to a generic conclusion that Rita is sufficient or BEST, I hope you understand. It’s like TITANIC movie that won highest academic awards but still is reviewed poor by various movie reviewers.
But if you ask me, my personnel recommendation, I would say start preparations with Rita, once you understand Rita’s book concepts move to PMBOK and get deep into PMBOK then. This can take like 2-3 months of time assuming you study an average about 2 hours daily.

Indeed, dude. Need to dig
Indeed, dude. Need to dig deep into PMBOK after running through RITA.
Per lots of feedback, one needs good and comprehensive understanding of PMBOK in order to ensure to pass on first try.
I'm reviewing PMBOK for the 3rd round. My exam is 3 week's to go!!

There are 2 ways of understanding the concepts -
1. Understand & then Try
2. Try & then Understand
To understand something better - first you need to get your hands dirty.
Try to attempt 50 questions from each knowledge area to assess yourself. Setup your plan and then act on the weakest section.
The secret of the trade is to logically understand, think & act, as a project manager would have in a given situation.
Rita Mulcahy could be one of your starting points. Honestly, you should consider other books as well, you find comfortable.
Cheers!
