management plan updates in processes

Hi

 

I thought that the management plan updates occur only in "manage integrated change control" where we approve or reject the changes. Why then in other processes such as control cost, we have "project management plan updates" as output?

 Most of the M&C process you will see have project management plan updates or project document updates. You will also see change requests as outputs, actuall these change requests goes through integrated change control process and when they get approved they make changes to where ever required like in Project Management plan updates.
