question on crashing

the answer is given as B. Can someone explain as to how to solve this problem?

 Make combinations

act     base dur       amount   crashing cost (i/c base cost)     dur       saving of duration   extra amount

A          10               4000              6000                                8              2                            2000

C          14              22000            26000                              12            2                            4000

total extra lowest amount == of A and C with crashing ==   6000, total saving in duration = 4 weeks

other combinations are not coming with a saving lower than 6000 for 4 weeks

Thank You Pawar Sir

Especially in Exams, network diagram should be furnished or asked to draw and then ask the question of crashing like two weeks or whatever.

The above, in generally has become more of iterative and time consuming etc.

This question is very kiddish, It asks for lowest cost. You check in answer options which is the lowest number and then see if there are activities which add up to that number. If they do then the answer is the lowest, if not goto next lowest number.

besides, 6,000 is actually the lowest amount in the options. Nevertheless, the learning point (from the perspective of the poster) is in understanding how to address such questions- i think.
